  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone run across this issue on a 2016 Genesis? Doesn't happen all the time but it's definitely a safety issue when the light stays on and no vehicle is in your blindspot. Only occurs the left mirror.

More information is needed. Is it just the light on or is is still active? If the light is on with no one there do you get a warning if you hit the turn signal? Check that the sensors are clean.

the BSM sensor is behind the bumper cover, one at each corner, nothing to clean unless you want to take off the bumper. The BSM does not use the back up sensors it is its own unit:

is there any damage to the left rear corner of the car, if someone even taps it by backing into the car it can bend the bumper cover or the bracket enough that the sensor sees interference

Thanks for the input. There is no damage to the bumper and still under warranty. Will have dealer check it out on next visit.

This has happened to me twice, most recently last sunday night. My passenger side stayed on and I got all the alarms but I was the only one on the road. I just turned the BSM off and kept going. I did enable it a few times, just to check, and the issue was still there. It only went away after turned the car off.

I'm interested to know what they find, please keep us posted.
