  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Quick question, is there a way to turn down the blind spot alert sound volume? I saw I can turn it off but I just need it quieter...like, its louder than the front brake alert noise...

thanks

No there isn't sorry.

Yes. For better or for worse, it’s meant to be very loud to jar you into action!

Unfortunstely, that means that in congested city driving (nyc), it goes off quite often. Doesn’t bother me too much though heh

I wish there was a way to turn it down. It freaks out my passengers and they think that I dont know how to drive if it goes off alot. Thats fine with family, that is not okay with business associates.

My wife always give me a look when it goes off. I try to be in front of a car far enough that the sensor light goes off, then signal and change lanes. You can call that good driving practice. In heavy traffic, that is not always possible and yet you can safely make the change.

In my area it is usually not a big deal to have a gap. In big city rush hour, that is a rare luxury.

Maybe it’s a new feature for ‘19. My ‘19 Santa Fe has volume adjustment.

I can't remember if our Kona does or not.

Not only I wish could be adjusted there are some other features that need to have a volume control like also the turn signal, further more I think it's time that automobile industry treat those features with a upgrade options, I would be nice if you can upgrade your GPS that you could upgrade features like this also including upgrades to Bluetooth support like text messaging, with out the need of connect your phone.

I sure we all can come up to nice software list off upgrades that will please everyone, the ability is there the capability is there that would be a nice added feature to automobiles.

I am surprise that there is not one yet come up with ability off market option to make it happen.

I don't see any limitations that this can not be done.

I don't think the BSM alert on my 2018 G80 is loud enough, I wish I could turn it up, I cant hear it at all if the windows and pano area open and the radio is above 20

I drive the 270 corridor and DC everyday. My alert goes off constantly. I don't mind the flashing graphics and leds, but the sound has to go.

well...i guess im either going to turn off the sound, or not use my blinker if i have enough room but the light is still on....

If you can find the "beeper" perhaps a piece of duct tape over it would be a good muffler.

Not sure, but it may. I never tried turning off the radio to see it it makes a difference.

wouldn't make a difference, like the turn signal click and the back up beep, it is fed to the speakers independent of the radio.
