  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bluelink disappointment

I am backtracking a little. I have a Samsung Note 3. I have both the apps Genesis and blue link. How do I enter my home other than as a random POI? Also, if I understand it correctly, I use my phone calendar to enter the event of where I am going. Then does it sync with the Genesis app and calculate everything for you? I tried to follow the directions above but got lost.
Thanks,
Bill

I set my house as home when I was in the car at home. When I did the calendar evetn you have to make sure you choose a location on the map for the where the event is. Then when I went in the app it was there. However it calculated it at 112 miles away so I did a vehicle find (because I am at work) and it recalculated it to the proper distance.

Ive had a the Genny S for about a week and been using the Genesis app on my Note 4. It has worked every single time I think. My car is parked in the garage. The only thing that sucks about the app is that it drains my battery unless i force close it.

Ive been trying to use the Blue Link voice commands on my Moto360, but it does not work. :(

I have had zero issues with my Bluelink since the last upgrade. It has been working flawlessly since (Knock on dash... :D)

In iphone I made a contact for myself with my complete info , address phone ,etc ,may be something like that works on Android? Also in my car in navigation unit I set address and hit it as home address, and it linked together

It is not the phone app. That works fine. It's when "mama" tries to contact my car.

  1. App to Bluelink servers (Works)
  2. Bluelink server to satellite network (unknown)
  3. Satellite to my car (unknown)

There are three steps involved either step 2 or 3 is a fail.
