  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

been using the remote start with bluelink , its slow it take a while to go through , and we dont lock our car , so i have to use bluelinke to lock the doors then again use it to start the car, the i have use the extra key fob go to the car to unlock it to get in , got to be a easier way ? is there a good after market remote start ? we got a new car ( 2015 ult ) with no remote start ,

thanks guys

I understand your concerns, I have the same situation but my key fob is on a shelf and just a push of a button to lock it. I don't understand why you need the extra fob to unlock and get in. You need to carry the fob to drive so when I approach it is already with me.

I've had remotes installed but not in a car with blue link. You may want to ask at the dealer. With all the telemetrics in it I can see a first timer messing up something. I have three years of blue link included so I'll put up with it.

So let me get this straight....you want to install an after market remote start, on a car that already has remote start, so you an start the car and leave the doors unlocked? Or is the after market start for the 2015 with no remote start?

were i live i dont need to lock the doors, i havent in 30 years , i leave the key in the car , like i was saying i have to tell BL to lock my doors first , wait a few mins then tell BL to start the car , then when i go out to drive the car remember i have to unlock it, so i have to carry the extra key fob in pocket ,yes when i walk to the car it will unlock with it in my pocket ,its just hard to know what with all these extras on a ULT car ther is no remote start ( without $200 a year ) .i love the car dont get me wrong, ill guess ill have to do what i have been doing thats all
thanks

If you keep the car five years, that is $1000 versus an aftermarket remote for about $300. Makes sense to me.
