  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've noticed since the last time there was a BlueLink outage now my car will start and I'll set the temp in the app, but instead of being warm when I get in the HVAC is off and I must press the "auto" button to get my HVAC to turn on. Also, when I press the HVAC button it doesn't have the temp I set on my phone set, only the last temp from when I was in the car prior.

Anyone else experiencing this or am I losing my mind?

Same here if I select the winter pre set my defrosters turn on but not the rest of the system. Using any other pre set does nothing but start the car.

I'm experiencing the same issues, going on a week now. Only setting that works is the winter preset. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Now the only thing is what is Hyundai going to do about it?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I read yesterday for the people having the problem. Set temp to high on the app and it will work.

Called Hyundai and they had me log out of the Genesis app and then do a reset of my head unit using the little button by the cd player. Restarted my car and the app and it worked. Hopefully it works again later but it looks like you just need to reset everything to correct this.

Does resetting the radio erase your stations and jukebox?

I have never lost any of my presets resetting/rebooting the system or disconnecting my battery.

Yes, and that's fine for right now that its winter. But considering I use the remote start way more in the summer when its 100+ outside, I don't want the high temp setting to be the only option that works anymore. I already have to pay $200 a year for the privilege to remote start my car. Even though every other car that has factory remote start has a button on the keyfob.

When are you scheduled to renew? I just renewed on the 25th for $118.00 for both services (connected care and remote) for the year. Hopefully they have it fixed soon.

just log out and back into the app and press the head unit reset. Mine has worked perfectly since doing so.

My 2015 Ultimate's been doing it too... Glad to see I'm not nuts.

Same with mine too. Gonna try the reset options. It's been super cold this past week in the NE too!

Edit: just tried logging out and back into the Genesis app first. That worked! So may not have to reboot the headunit.

How did you reset the head unit. Just stick a paperclip end into that little button my the CD player? Car needs to be running I assume?
