  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2009 genesis w/ 3.8 and Technology package. Bluetooth is dead (as in there is no connection). Icon for it is still there it just won’t activate (when connected it use to brighten up). I think it’s fried. Can it be replaced and if so where is it located

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Check other phones first. Sometimes a phones update screws up settings and bluetooth.

I could be wrong but I don't think it's a separate module. I think it may be inside the head unit. Below is the component diagram from the 2009 manual, which only shows the microphone "Mike" as a separate module that has its own dedicated pair of pins on the head unit pinout. No other inputs were identified on the pinout that would suggest an external BT module. Also is the troubleshooting guide from the 2012 manual FWIW.

More info here (also says no separate module):
Bluetooth module

and here (about connectivity issues w/ certain phones):
