  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I poked through the FAQ a bit to see if it is possible to suppress threads and posts from annoying users - and sure enough, there is. I added the subject culprit to my plonk file and now I don't see any posts in which he appears. I am having heart surgery in the next couple of months and need to keep my blood pressure down - this helps. .:D:D:D

LOL

Hey good call, I'm on board, just trying to have a little fun here

P. S. R E L A X

Ahhh - I can feel those arteries relax... Just go to User CP and Edit Ignore List on the left.

Wow, all that effort for what exactly ? Emphasis I guess ....

He's going to need more than surgery to keep is pressure down acting like this.

I see that BMW Blowhard posted to this thread, but since I have him in my killfile the content of his post does not appear. Is "Ignore" a great feature or what? .:D

I have seen threads deleted from this forum before and am curious why the one inferred here has not been. It seems to be the work of a troll.

I have no idea - if there ever was a candidate for deletion this is one. This nitwit has posted his drivel in a bunch of Genesis fora.

yet you still care - aww, how cute :)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Naw, just still enjoying the "ignore" feature.

You know, far be it for me to take sides here, but it really seems like dg_moore is the obnoxious one here. The BMW Diehard dude just seems to be "imagining" the 2012 Genesis to his own specifications, and it seems like you're the one who needs to stop trolling and STFU, dg_moore, seriously. Your posts of "LALALA I CANT HEAR U! R U STILL HERE TROLL" are effing retarded. Just stop.

We all know it's you DieHard, this is the oldest trick in the book :grouphug:

... Not really dude. LMAO. Go look at my post history or join date or something. LMAO. It's funny how defending someone, who from what I've seen simply posts ideas, from someone who is belligerent makes you immediately that person. Haha.

I've got a lot of forum experience - as a moderator and as a user. I've evolved, and have probably passed through every stage of forum life. Here's what I've learned, for what it's worth:

1. You are responsible for yourself. "He started it" is never a valid excuse for poor forum behavior.

2. Type it all out. Vent, rant, bang away. Then, wait a while before hitting the "post" button.

3. Follow the forum rules, always - no matter how obnoxious the other guy is, there is never a valid justification for you being obnoxious.

4. If you are actually upset over something someone wrote on the internet, you probably should not participate in internet discussions. For most users, the person at the other end of the conversation isn't an actual person at all - they are just words on a computer screen.

5. Be factual, admit when you err, and if a post can be interpreted in two ways, one of which is not offensive, choose to believe no offense was intended.

6. You might have come here looking for the answer to a specific Genesis related question, but if you have more than 15 posts, this has probably become a community for you. That means you are here for the enjoyment. If you get so emotionally invested in an argument that you are not enjoying yourself, what's the point?
