My dealer had to flatbed my car about 300 miles (they also had to flatbed the car they used in the trade to other dealer). My dealer offered me $500 price reduction to take the same trim level in stock (but with about 150 miles on it), but I refused and got the color I wanted and with about 20 miles on OD.if you knew any better, dealers dont like flatbedding or trailering..the cost to do that is alot steeper than you think, alot.
Correct, I don't know any better. Just thought maybe the dealer would have extended some sort of generosity since the first car he had a deal on was sold and he still stuck with them.
By the way, I bet the owners of Priority appreciate the way you come across to potential customers on this forum!![]()
this is a forum for opinions and to be honest, i would prefer not to have a customer like you anyway. i know the business, 4500 miles on a vehicle with an 100,000 mile warranty is nothing, explain why the h you think 4500 miles constitutes THOUSANDS off? dont be upset because you make no sense. youll be the same guy crying about what you get for your car when you go to trade it, how would you like if they wanted to give you nothing because if you think 4500 miles bears thousands and thousands off, i hope you feel the same way when you go trade it and it has about 15-40,000 miles on it or watever. please just make a lil sense of what your saying please. anything else?

For the last time from me . . . . . . . . I will say, you are correct again. This is an open forum. However, my guess is that 99% of us on this forum are not here to make money by selling vehicles and can say whatever we want without worrying about losing sleep, or money. True I am only one potential customer, but right now I am sure you need all the customers you can get.
And by the way, I never said anything about thousands off. I just don't think anyone should be expected to pay full price for something that has been used! Don't worry, I'll keep passing by Priority in Chesapeake, and any other dealership bearing that name!
I find this attitude from a Salesman horrific. A lot can happen to a vehicle in 4500 miles and that is why demo vehcles from reputable dealerships almost always go for a good bit less, unless the dealer is predatory and finds a patsy. A coworker of mine just bout a new 2009 5 series BMW that had over 5K miles on it and was a demo. BMW knocked almost 5 grand of the list due to its demo status. He will receive much higher end service too, including having his car picked up when it needs service and a loaner car provided while service occurs. You make this sound like an unreasonable request of of a customer. I beg to differ. Especially on a car that is so far unproven as far as reliability, resale value etc. In any event, it is just not right to call someone a bad customer. I guess Hyundai still has a ways to go with getting their heads wrapped around the customer service thing. Hyundai is still strying to get a handle on what people expect when spending "Genesis Money" for a car.

Glad to see I am not alone with my thoughts on this salesperson. What do you think the owner, GM, or Sales Manager of Priority would think of some of the comments?
I think the "goodness" of the deal is all relative. If you can get the same car for the same amount of money with 20 miles on it rather than 4500 miles then that wasn't as good of a deal and that's all there is to it.
Doesn't mean it's a bad deal though. I mean if the warranty starts at whatever miles were on it when you bought then there's no difference there. However, there is a legitimate concern to wear and tear because who knows how hard that car was pushed while it was being demoed for 4500 miles. Those may not all be normal driving miles. So definitely, if he could get a Blk/Blk v8 by traveling a bit further for the same price with 20 miles then yes that probably would've been better.
However, there's a big IF in there. If a Blk/Blk v8 is such a rarity in that area and he'd have to travel extremely far to get it, then that would probably even things out and then you could easily say it's as good a deal as anyone else got considering the car he wanted and the location.
