  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone my name is Milton, I recently purchased a 2019 G70 3.3t RWD and have started on basic mod (muffler delete, AEM cold air intake, and waiting on my Eibach lowering springs) but I've been thinking about doing aftermarket BOV.. at khartunerz.com they have a wide variety but would like to know if anyone is using bov?

I'd check to see if it would have any affect on the warranty before doing it.

Thanks a lot EdP I automatically assumed i was cover by the magnusson moss act but the bov do interact with the performance of the turbos so it might affect the warranty. I'll check on that.

Don’t waste your money. Mishimoto has a good article on the stingers BOVs that you should read. It applies to us as well

So from reading the article they pretty much talked about the humongous single bov they had.. the ones i was looking at from khartunerz are this.. pretty much oem replacement but metal body and slight adjustment between atmospheric and recirculating.

Are you going for just sound? An aftermarket intake will provide plenty of BOV noise. The only reason to change the BOV would be if you wanted to change that sound specifically

I just got a set of AEM intakes delivered today and will be installing this weekend, but i guess the bov would be for added protection and longevity of the turbos and also why not a bit of melody under the hood 😅😅

The aftermarket doesn’t provide any advantages over OEM. If you want to ‘protect and provide longevity’ stay stock in that department. All risk, little to no reward
