  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Everyone, Looking for some solid advice. I am needing to change my front and rear brake pads and want to replace the rotors as well. The dealer wants too much $$$ in my opinion to replace front and rear $1800+. This is something I can definitely do myself but my only problem is choosing the correct products to put on the car. I always thought that Original factory parts were the best however, I have read so many reviews about Power Stop and I am so afraid to use them since I have heard many quality horror stories as well. What are your feelings about Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts Premium Pads and Rotors or Centric Rotors and Pads…Or am I spending too much time researching this matter and should I just go and purchase genuine Hyundai parts? Thanks everyone in advance…:)

I used Raybesto Specialty line rotors and Raybesto Element3 brake pads on my 2015 5.0 brake job which are very aggressive hybrid pads(ceramic and metallic) with high carbon rotors that stops on dime without fading as good if not better than my stock pads and rotors.

I only spent about $200 on the entire set of pads and rotors on all four corners. I got 3 of my rotors on sale from Rock Auto and found my 4th on sale on Amazon that was discounted as well. Full priced the front and rear rotors are about $50-90 each, so still cheaper than the stock rotors.
