  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Brake Pads

Excellent - thanks. Just what I was looking to hear. Next time on the lift I'll double check, but sounds like I don't need to worry for a while.

On a different note, after I put these in my bud in the business said he gave up on the Bosch QuietCast pads due to brake squeal. That's disappointing in that I have learned the name brands (Bendix, Wagner, Raybestos, Bosch, etc) generally have very good formulations. I generally pick based on type (ceramic), cost and reviews (if available). No noise yet but only driven once. I try and remember to circle back to this post to update after some time.

I'm running EBC Yellowstuff pads front and rear. They have a little bit of low engagement scrub noise, but the bite is vastly higher than the Hyundai OEM ceramic pads. They're not for everyone- the initial bite is very aggressive and makes the initial pedal input feel grabby.
