  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For 2009 t0 2012 models, have you had the brake fluid changed? You did not state what year model you have.

Model years 2009 to about 2012 (not sure when fixed) had problems with failure of the HECU (anti-lock braking control unit). To find other threads in this forum on this subject, Google using these terms:
  • genesis hecu

There was a recall to replace the DOT-3 brake fluid with DOT-4, but that did not correct any existing HECU valve corrosion problems, or completely prevent future problems (only made future corrosion problems less likely).

Please file a complaint with the NHTSA here (takes about 2 min):
