  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is BS man. Brand new car. This light is supposed to disengage when you turn the gears to Drive?

Which light and what color is it?
The main, red, brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is engaged. The parking brake does automatically release.
The smaller orange EPB light comes on when you start the car. If it is on after that, it indicates that there is a fault with the parking/emergency brake, and you should make an appointment to get that fixed.

That's the EPB fault light. It does not mean that the parking brake is applied, though it could be.

Genesis must be having a lot of cars to service because the next available appointment isn't available until April 30th.
