What kind of break in period do these new cars have they said to take it easy the first thousand miles is that still true today I have a twin turbo 3.3 Went a little hard the first few hundred miles guess that wasn’t the best thing?

The harder the better, seats those pistons in. Just get an oil change around 1500 or 2k miles if you want.

I've heard that but never saw evidence it is better. Car makers have lots of engineers doing testing on engines so I go by the book. They probably did some testing.

I totally agree. Read & follow the owner's manual. Besides, it's only for the first 600 miles.
