  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just - as a spur of the moment thing - went from a 2011 Sonata 2.0T to a 2013 Genesis 3.8 Sedan. Being I'm a bigger dude, both height and girth wise, I wanted something more befitting of my stature.

I got me a Titanium Grey Metallic model and I plan on having it tinted ASAP - it's very bright and hot here in the Inland Empire, SoCal.

My wife got herself a 2013 Tucson GLS for her everyday drive - so July 24th was a rather expensive day for me..

Anyways, just wanted to say hi and looking forward to learning a lot about my new ride from you guys.

Are you sure you have a 2013 Genesis Sedan, or is it a 2012? What does your owners manual say?

Welcome to the Genesis owners blog. You have come to the right place for information about your Genesis because there are some very knowledgeable people who frequent this site.
Just about everything you want to know can be accomplished with a search or a posting a thread if you don’t find the answer you are looking for when you search the archives.
I hope you enjoy your new Genesis as much as I do mine.

You're right it's a 2012. I got the "2013" stuck in my head, as my wifes new Tucson is a 2013 (double checked and all).

So far - after the odometer hit 49 miles - I can't complain what so ever. Hopefully it'll stay that way after adding 4-5 0's to that number.. :)

Congratulations! Pictures of BOTH vehicles, please!

:welcome:

Congrats :) , welcome to the forums !!

First thing on my to do list: Tinting!!! It's freaking bright and hot here!!

Looks great... DEFINITELY tint! Makes a huge difference.

Good luck with your Genny. Happy posting.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase, just a few thing to keep in mind.

1. You will get a lot of attention in your new car, some good, some bad, some scary.
2. The places you will get the most attention is at the gas stations and parking lots. If you don't like socializing I suggest you shop online and send your wife to get your car gassed up.
3. Rebadging is not a must but it does enhance the look of the car.
4. Audi, MB, and BMW owners will come up to you on the highway and stare at your car (this is the scary attention i referred to earlier) keep this in mind as they can sit in your blind spot while you're trying to switch lanes.
5. As nice and as much as we gush about our car, the fact is, it's still a car and things will inevitably go wrong, please do not start ranting and raving at the first sign something happens, wait till the 200th,lol
