Hello everyone!
I have been hit by the infamous broken dipstick tip, which I can only assume has nestled itself in the bottom of my engine. I decided to drop the oil pan, but noticed three of the bolts are blocked by the actual welded frame of the car. You have zero room to get the front three bolts out, let alone get a wrench in there. The image I attached is screenshot off a YouTube video, showing the crossmember blocking the front of the pan. Since this seems like a common issue, does anyone have a common fix, or a way to get this pan off? I obviously don’t want to damage the pan, I’ve flushed the oil but the tip didn’t come out. The dealership said it’s about $1k to drop the oil pan. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
