  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not seriously going to buy now but for grins I just wanted to see where the prices were. The problem is, finding an AWD version is tough going. I even checked snowy places like Denver. Anyone know of a dealer that has 2019 3.3T AWDs anywhere in the US?

I’d have to drive 8 hours just to even kick the tires on 1... I think worrying about trim and spec at this point is useless as we are all in the same boat. It’s a great vehicle but the rollout of this product and dealers delays has been a disaster.

Thanks. If I were serious right now, I'd go anywhere in the US. You gotta admit, a cross-country drive home in your new G70 sounds like fun..

Might be tougher to find them in Texas since they are more up north but there are quite a few available nationwide. We have had a number of members here buy one. Do a search on cars.com and cargurus for G70s and sort by price highest to lowest. You will have to weed out the dynamics but that should get you some to look at.

According to their website, "my" dealer has one; 2019 3.3tt AWD Red/gray (it could be Havana Red) since they are a high volume dealer, are easy to deal with. If you want, I can contact you with "my" salesman. I bought 5 cars from him.

That’s a G80...he wants a G70. Well I assume anyway...since this is under the G70 threads.

Thanks folks. There are some deals to be had out there. Still have two years on my 15 Genesis, but it's fun to poke your head out every once in a while. One thing I certainly won't be doing on my next vehicle is lowering. What a friggin' waste of money due to all the prematurely worn tires. Looks awesome; don't do it.

There are some in the northwest too. Seems like about half are AWD out this way.

Yup. Up here in Oregon and Washington there are a few. Most of them AWD. There's a beautiful Victoria Black 3.3 Sport AWD G70 at Genesis of Vancouver. It looks really good.

They have had a white one for a long time. I have been watching inventory for a few months, but decided to go used ('15 5.0) for now. There is a nice blue "every option" sport in Bend OR, they have had that for a while too.

I'm in Forest Grove BTW, what part of town are you in?

Portland.

I was talking to Bend for quite a while, hoping they could get a hold of the exact color and trim I wanted. Ended up going out of state for mine! Should be arriving next week.

At this moment, maybe you'll have to wait for a US AWD G70. Just checked the Canadian Genesis website and 5 of the 6 G70 trims are AWD. So maybe that's where Genesis is shipping them. To check the Canadian web site, gemesis.com/ca. You'll have to enter a Canadian postal code. I used H1A 5C2.

At one time I was considering looking into what would be involved with buying Canadian. Eh?

Or maybe he could just buy one from the numerous dealers in the US that have them or have any of the 30 dealers in Texas order him one in their next allocation.

Canadian spec is slightly different.

People may think, "Why the heck do you want AWD in Texas?" Here are my reasons:
  1. Rain traction. There are a lot of two-lane roads here where the speed limit is 60mph (or higher). If I were shopping an AWD Audi, no one would think anything of it. I remember a few years back when I was shopping SUVs for the family hauler it was impossible to get an Acadia in AWD in Texas without ordering one.
  2. Lots of family in the NE; never know when I'll have to make an unexpected trip up there.
  3. AWD will be able to put more power to the ground. I know RWD is quicker, but honestly I wouldn't be racing it :-).
  4. Really just the safety/traction factor
In any case, we'll see what's out there in two years. I could really see myself in a G90, especially now that they're gorgeous.

That's funny, I took a look at a couple of dealers in both Seattle and Portland but I guess I chose the wrong ones. One of the dealers (I forgot which one) didn't even have the G70 as a model on their website.

There currently are no Genesis dealers in Seattle or Portland. You might have been looking at Hyundai dealers with leftover 2018s.
