  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bug Removal

I've always used Simple Green with no problems. The bugs pretty much melt away, then I wash normally.

 My detailer despises Simple Green! I was told "Don't even think about using this on a car for anything"

I think all of the above a excellent approaches. I have always had good results with car wash and a nylon stocking.

Just my 2¢ worth,

Ron

I tried washing the car in nylons and a most of my neighbors laughed but one of them winked at me. Maybe I'm not doing it right? :D

thank goodness for invisible bras on the front of my car. I'm in Houston and get sand blasting from the highways, then bug blasted when driving at night or during love bug season. That plastic shield works wonders. I just use my wool mitt and the bugs come off with a good soaking and scrubbing.

Also, don't forget bird poop is about as friendly as bug guts. Do not let it sit on the paint!
