  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just completed 450 mi this weekend of mostly highway driving with some back roads, and the Genesis was clearly designed with this in mind. It's been a long time since I've had a car this comfortable for long stretches. The last car that elicited this type of comfort and enjoyment was a 1994 VW Passat GLX with the VR6 engine (a wonderfully elastic engine with gobs of torque and low end punch). I owned it for several years until I was forced to sell it after a bad collision. I was rear-ended by a drunk driver while sitting at a stop light. $8500 in damage that was repaired flawlessly, but in my mind, it was never the same. I've been searching for a car that gave me the same feeling ever since. Four hours in the Genesis flies by in total comfort. No pressure points from the seats. No arm fatigue. I can rest my hands at 3:00 and 9:00 on the wheel, thumbs just above the spokes (a must for me) and feel totally relaxed. My Iphone 4 playing Pandora the whole way through the Lexicon system while still having access to email and the phone functions via Bluetooth doesn't hurt. My only quibble would be a lack of on center feel on the highway. Something I attribute to the horrendous OEM Dunlop rubber more than the car itself. I'm pretty sure better rubber will improve this aspect. BTW, I didn't see a single other Genesis the entire time. Kind of nice actually.

You should try the KAI aftermarket wood wheel for ergonomic comfort. I have one (see my album) and it feels terrific! .:D
