  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys do you have a reseller in Canada? More specifically Montréal Quebec?

Thanks

Can I install the JB4 with a FULL ON stock G80 3.3tt?

what all needs to be changed besides spark plugs to run higher maps? also does the new JB4 come with the plug and go fuel wires already in the kit?
- cold air intakes?

I am having my 3.3tt g80 shipped to me this week.....should have it by start of next week.

I'm curious about this - Has anybody done this? any feedback would be awesome

Does this wear the engine or other components faster? Does this require professional installation or can it be installed by a novice?

Any downsides?

Theres plenty of reviews and feedback for the JB4/G70 combo. Just not in this thread. Google, forum search, all will bring you to them

Thank you for the advice!

Maybe be a stupid question, but I'm new to the Genesis line. My 2021 G80 2.5T will be here by the end of the month, but will this work on the 2.5T? And if so, can it be used in conjuction with the other system, the pedal commander?

There's a JB4 tuner made SPECIFICALLY for the 2.5T available here:

The Pedal Commander doesn't present any issue that I've heard about...

So there's no issue with running both of these together?

The Pedal Commander doesn't present any issue "that I've heard about"... If I were going to choose one or the other, I'd choose the JB4 tuner. That's where you're going to see the biggest difference. If you're also looking to tune the gas pedal, all "I" can say is that I have not heard of any issue. That's not a guarantee from me that there will not be an issue.

Ok, thanks for that. I'm coming from the Infiniti brand where I know a lot more about, now I have to start fresh and do my research all over again. Lol

One of the biggest issues I'm having now is trying to find lowering springs, that's one of the first mods I want to do. And the damn only decent lip spoiler I have found cost about $800. 😳😳😳😳

Hi Folks, and Hi Sal

I just found out about this forum, and I'm in the process of buying a G80 3.5T Sport. At my stage in life, I'm not interested in a racer, but wanted a car that can perform when I call on it/don't want a sluggish "land yacht".

So I've got a few questions.

From the reading I've done, my understanding is that it's advised to get upgraded spark plugs and air intakes along w/the necessary wires/adaptors/acc. plugs if I'm going to get something like the JB4 to increase my car's response and hp.

I've looked at the air intake listed here, and see that it's for the G70, not the G80 I'm in the process of buying so I'd also ask if that air intake also fit's the 3.5T.

Is there anything that I've missed listing in order to upgrade the car performance wise the right way.

In connection w/that question, what I'd like to do is find a performance tune center/shop in Southern California (live in Redondo Beach just outside of Los Angeles) that would specialize in installation, rather that me play around w/doing this. I guess what I'm asking is can you folks recommend a Genesis specialist on this side of the coast near Los Angeles that can work on these Genesis cars and do 'em right.

That would be after I've bought the right mods from here.

I know I said a "mourhfull", but there it is.

Glad to be here.

Take care

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Since your G80 will have the 3.5TT, you should be looking at this one:

So please read that page for the information you need. You were looking at the JB4 for the 3.3TT earlier.

In any event, I have a feeling you'll be happy with the performance you get out of the stock twin turbo 3.5 liter V6. You might be surprised...

Just ordered my JB4 and plugs (along w/ the new intake they have available finally for the 2018 G80).

Update: Running Map 3 on straight E30 from the pump w/ no timing issues (using JB4's ethanol sensor to read real-time ethanol % through mobile JB4 app).

cool. do you have a draggy or a local track to get times? I wonder how much faster the g80 is now.
