  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I didn't pay an attention to it until my wife pointed it.
At night when I unlock and open the door the cabin lights should be on, and it was working until recently. Now, no lights, door sills are not illuminated. Everything is fine when I start the car. Then again, when turn off the ignition and exit the car, no illumination.
I don't think there is a setting that controls it, that should be by default.
Any thoughts?

They work in daylight?

I'm pretty sure one of the buttons in the ceiling controls it.

yea...and it is A$$-backwards.....It should be IN for lights off....If you want the lights on when the doors open (which 99% of the time you do) then that should be the "normal" position for the switch...I hate seeing that thing depressed in all the time...just a peeve..sorry for the rant...

If it's not something simple like depressing the button try checking the fuse if you never see the lights come on under any condition. According to my manual the fuse might be "s/roof" or "ecm" since they both list overhead console lamp.
