  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Cadillac has really stepped up it's game...

Ha! He didn't like the back up camera resolution :D:D

Didn't watch the whole thing, but here's a couple of things I didn't like:

-Alcantara wheel. Really??? That would be a deal breaker for me.

-Don't care for the shiny plastic console.

-Looks like a Bose sound system? Have not heard one I like so far.

Good power and must drive nicely. didn't get to that part. I do like the lines. Looks sharp. I'll try to watch the full thing later.

I've never had an Alcantara steering wheel. Why would that be a deal breaker for you? I can't imagine Bose being very good either but a lot of people say they sound good these days. I think GM needs a better "brand name" for their high end vehicles. That too is a part of the luxury experience (exclusivity)...

Maybe because I don't like Alcantara....not even in the seats. I've never had an Alcantara wheel either but I'm sure I wouldn't like the feel/looks of it.

I owned 2 CTS's prior (2011 & 2013) and both were very nice cars. Unfortunately, they were actually my wife's car and she decided to move on. I find it somewhat amusing the car comparisons on this forum because I could never afford a new high end vehicle often used as a comparison to my Genesis.

My Genesis is a bargain for the price I paid for it, so that is one reason why I love it so much. I considered a slightly used Cadillac ATS and XTS just before I bought my Genesis. The ATS had every option except heated seats...kind of weird but explained why it wasn't selling. After looking at one up close, I realized how small it was and the interior just didn't look anything special.

Anything above a Mercedes C class or BMW 5, Audi A5 with all the options I prefer, is just simply a lot of money. I would have to settle for used.

I'd definitely take any Genesis over the ATS except for the ATS-V. I do like that car quite a bit. The ATS IS indeed very small - especially in the back. The CTS is a very nice car and certainly compares to the Genesis Sedan.

The ATS-V is a sweet ride, but in a whole different category if you are trying to draw comparisons to a 2nd generation Genesis.
Amazing power for a V-6 and handling is phenomenal. I like them, but they are just a tad too small for me - and I can't wean myself off of a V-8.

Loved the alcantara steering wheel on my previous CTS-V. Wish it was available for my Genesis.
Lust after the 3rd generation of the CTS-V after owning both a V-1 and a V-2. but they priced them out of my reach.

In this case I'm not sure you "get what you pay for". The Genesis is pretty impressive for the price... Oh, wait - you're talking about the third generation CTS-V. That's one hell of a car...
