Camshaft Positioning Sensors

My 2009 Genesis keeps dying on me after a5 minutes or so. I have replace the fuel pump, sparkplugs and ignition coils. I am about to change the camshaft positioning sensor until I noticed that there are 4 of them. Should I change all of them or which one should I change. If I remember correctly on the read out from the shop, it was a camshaft sensor that has something to do with timing. Any help would be great, thanks!!

was the car electrical system work before you start the car? if it doesnt then alternator or electrical system issue. Cam shaft position could be it, but I would try to eliminate the other stuff too.

I replaced battery and alternator 3 months ago..... I was just looking over the engine to see if there was anything loose, frayed or disconnected and I found this. See attached file. I don’t know where it goes but it looks like a grounding wire. It’s in the harness that is connected to the sensors and coils.... Any assistance here would help.

That appears to be a engine ground wire. There should be a stud on the fender or firewall nearby. Or possibly with the tab it goes underneath of one of the 10mm valve cover bolts. The important part is to first confirm that it is indeed a ground with a multi-meter.

was it OEM alternator? Grease Monkey replaced mine with a Duralast and that thing died literally 1 year afterward...If your alternator die, your power steering would not work, thats a telltale sign that its alternator.

Yea I had it replaced by the dealership. I’m bout out of options I have read every thread I can possibly read and I’m just out of options.

theres a menu where you can read the voltage...tell me what it says and I'll tell you what mine say. do it when the car is started, in parking.

It’s throwing Camshaft codes, O2 and misfire codes but I replaced the plugs and coils. Not sure why it won’t stop misfiring then dying

Yes it’s a negative, it is exactly as the same on the drivers side of the car.

did you do the car voltage check via the Engineer mode I told you?

its coming down to either your alternator or your ECU or your battery. Two of which are cheap the other one you might as well trade in the car.

thats pretty high, so I guess your alternator and battery working. bad O2 sensor?

That engine ground attaches to a small bracket on the back of the right-bank cylinder head (left side when looking at the front of the car). There is a screw hole and a small hole above it where the bent tab inserts. Its a bit hard to see/get to but if you feel around you'll find it.
