    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Can no longer remote start with my app using fingerprint.

Apologies if this has come up before. I remember using my fingerprint to start my car. Now it asks me to enter my pin. I've updated my app I think last month so maybe this feature has been removed? Or am I remembering this wrong?

I'm on the latest version of Android Auto and Genesis Connected app.

Re-enable it in the app settings. Mine got removed too then I found the setting and re-enabled

I discovered this the hard way recently. I had been using my phone as my car key. I had to replace my phone and intended to bring my fob to the phone store but forgot to. While they were working on the transfer I went down to use my backups. My primary backup was the card key. After several efforts it did get the front door to unlock and open. But it would not start the car as it was looking for a fob (pretty stupid it seems to me). My second backup was the eye scanner and fingerprint reader. The eye scanner did not work for me and the finger print scanner has recently stopped working.

My phone did get replaced and it did work as my digital key but I almost had to uber home to get my fob and return with it.

I will reset the key card and fingerprint readers but I am now less optimistic that I can stop carrying the fob.

May be the recent update might have affected the fingerprint start feature. It could be worth checking the app settings again or reaching out to Genesis support for clarification.
