  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've triggered the panic alert too many times while having the keys in my pocket. I guess it's too sensitive, I can't crouch without having the damn thing go off. I don't think this happened with any of my previous cars.

So is there a way to disable this?

There are key fob covers (gloves) available for smart keys that have helped this problem with other vehicles. Perhaps there's one that could help with your Genesis. Try TheJacketStore as well as other sources. Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I don't think that would work since the button is not covered. Plus...they are ugly :D

When using the silicon key cover the buttons are reset enough..... They also come in assorted colors..... another benefit is drop protection
Other choices are
Wear looser pants or drive naked :)

I keep my key fob in my watch pocket of my jeans/shorts and never have an issue.

Get a Key Card.

Normally, I would suggest a nice leather glove like the one for my Lexus (pictured below), but I couldn't find a similar one for the Hyundai Genesis (I was going to give my son one for his 2016 3.8 Tech). Alas, it appears we're still in Hyundai mode with the Genesis. Here's hoping the move to Genesis mode with the G80/90 is more fertile (and aesthetically pleasing) territory.

If it really bugs you...a small amount of epoxy glue on the button should solve the problem :)
