  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When i shift from P to R (reverse) , i feel its a bit hard on my car.
Maybe i am not still used to the shift . The move from R to D (drive mode) is very easy .

Can the shift lever be made smooth ? Anyone experience this or is something wrong with my car.

Sure it can be made smoother. It is supposed to be. You may want to ask a tranny guy about it. Hopefully it is a simple linkage adjustment.

Keep in mind that if you park on an incline, it will always be a harsh shift out of park. I always engage Parking Break before the shifter goes to P. Then, when I shift out of P, it is always smooth.

I have to schedule a service this week for the service department to look at the shift issue.
