  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Canada vs US Genesis 3.8

I just picked this storage tray up at a Canadian Hyundai dealer. It is part #B1H12 AP000, Tray Assy - Luggage...

Can you post up a picture of this?

On the Canadian models, does the Nav Screen start up with the Genesis logo (the name "Genesis" and the wings), or do you instead see the same safety warning that appears, upon start up, on U.S. models, about not letting yourself be distracted when using the Nav features while driving, to which the driver is then asked to "Agree"? I have noticed on my U.S. Genesis that I sometimes will see that Genesis logo on the Nav Screen momentarily before it is quickly hidden/replaced by the safety warning screen. This makes me think that the safety warning screen was an add-on, perhaps as a perceived requirement of U.S. law, which in theory therefore, a knowledgeable car tech person might be able to locate in the software coding and simply delete, so that we don't have to see it every single time we start the car. (Other car makes in the U.S. don't display this warning at all.) Any thoughts? Has anyone looked into doing this?

The Canadian Nav screen is the same as the US. You briefly see the Genesis Logo and then the "nanny" warning screen comes up. If you don't confirm it disappears soon after the car starts moving. I have seen similar warning messages on other manufacturers Nav screens, so Hyundai is not alone in this.
