  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone know which of the Canadian extended warranties ALSO cover the electronics. I believe some of them don't. :(

Unless they have changed it in recent years, the Nav/Audio/Interface electronics were specifically excluded from the Extended Warranty beyond the 3 years 60,000 kms of the Standard Warranty.

That may be a misinterpretation caused by very poor wording of the exclusions. I believe it says that Nav/Audio etc electronics were specifically excluded unless they were the OEM components. I posted the exact language in another thread very recently.

Here is the exact wording of the HPP extended warranty in the USA (wording in brackets are mine).

That is true for the US Plans, but here in Canada the OEM Nav./Audio system is only covered for the Initial Warranty period, which for the Nav./Audio is only 3 years or 60,000kms (37,500 miles)!! Having an extended warranty does not change this coverage. Furthermore, they will not replace the Nav./Audio with a new unit even within the 3yr/60k but use refurbished units. If you have an extended warranty, and have a problem with this system, Hyundai will replace it with a refurbished unit for a set charge of around $800.
