  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hmmm, might have to go with the V6 Technology. I am rather value oriented just like most here however the difference is $9,000 for the V8 and what do you get extra? V8 (yum yum:D), Lexicon 17 (could not care less), micro suede head liner (could not care less), headlamp washers (see this as a major gimmick) , wallet sized smart key (Want one but bet you can purchase this separately), 9.2 " display with DIS (really want but can't have), CDC suspension (unnecessary)and 19" wheels (need winter rims so 19" will be the summer aftermarket ones and stock 18's the winter wear) . That is it from what I can see.

I also get to spend a little more in gas every year and I need to pay a gas guzzler fee because it is a V8. Hmmm, Thinking, Thinking, Thinking.

How was the RSpec in winter with rear wheel drive? I know in Quebec ya gotta have snow tires, and many people here in Ottawa put them on anyhow, and I realize with RWD, snow tires will be a must, but does the car do okay in the winter?

I'm also in Ottawa and am on my second Genesis, first was a 2009 3.8 Tech and am now in a 2012 3.8 Tech. I can tell you for sure that you will want to get winter tires on your car and do it before the snow falls. With good winter tires the car deals with winter just fine, without them, well, life will probably get more exciting than you really want it to but... Just go easy on the throttle when starting off on a slippery road, the ESC can be pretty aggressive. However, you'll have lots of time to get to know your car before winter conditions return next fall - enjoy it, it is a great car. BTW which dealership did you buy from?

I am very familiar with RWD and snow as I did have several years back when it was the norm. I can tell you the stock tires on the Genesis will leave you puckered up on the bottom orifice unless you know what you are doing. So much so that one year my wife got caught in a small early snow fall and could not drive it home. I had to bring her car and drive my car back. I have 4 Continental winter contacts and they work extremely well in the snow, even with my wife driving. ;)

My buddies from Bank Street Hyundai. We have history with them, and not only for our cars. Car had to be shipped in from Winnipeg as there were no RSPECS in Ottawa. There were only 6 RSPECs left in Canada, 1 Titanium gray (my colour), 1 White and 6 silver. Sittin at the dealer waiting for me to pick it up, probably early June.

And yes, I will def get winter tires. Which brand? Not sure. Always had AWD vehicles and no snows, so this will be a first.

Altho the 2015s are nice, and have some handy features, for what I am paying, it makes the downsides of the 2013 well worth it. I do not need a 64,000.00 car, but only if I answer the 64,000.00 question.

I am more than content with a big v8 rwd, just like the 60s, and we all got along fine. I like the style of the 13's being boxy n all, and not the fluid lines on the 15s. If I want to drive the fluid lines, I'll drive my wifes 3 week old Tucson Limited. Thats a nice little truck, sort of speak.

Question... did the CDNs get the 64GB SSD, and if so, how do you download, or access it?

Congrats on you 2015 RSPEC, when it comes in. I am still waiting to take delivery of my 2013 RSPEC with 180KM on it. Brand spankin new. As you read in my post above, I cannot see myself spending 64K on a new car. Rather pay down a mortgage before I retire, which will be never, the retirement that is, and take a cruise to the Caribbean each winter, especially after this past winter. 24K is alot of extra dough, and I doubt Revenue Canada will allow me to deduct my normal percentage on such a high priced car. Yes, they do like to dictate what we drive. I only put on 15K per year, as I am not a huge mileage person, altho with the new Genny, I don't know. Anyone say ROAD TRIPS?

BTW, we married to the same lady? lol

There is no 2015 R-Spec sedan, at least none that has been announced. I think he means the Genesis V8.
