  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently purchased a 2015 Casablanca white Genesis tech package about 2 weeks ago. Ever since I got the car it had xm travel link equipped but not traffic. I called xm to have them activate it on my trail account and they notified me that the car doesn't have a compatible radio and when they try to activate it on my account it gives me an error. I took to my dealer twice to figure it out. As well as called xm more than 10 times trying to get it to work. My question is does any Canadian Genesis owners car have the xm traffic? And did it come part of your 3 month free trail?

I appear to have it. Is it just the feature that lets you know if there is a delay coming up and asks if you want to take a detour around it?

I have the V8 though, so don't know if it has a different navi system?

I have it with my v8 too. I find it sucks tho. Google maps traffic is far more accurate. I won't be subscribing when my trial expires.

I have XM but not the Tech Package on my 2015 and no Traffic info.
My previous two Gen1 cars had the Tech Package, but I never saw Traffic info or detours on the system. I think only the 2015 V8 in Canada has this feature.

I have a 2015 V8 and traffic doesn't work. Very strange is the fact I have called SiriusXm at least 4 times reporting this issue and their answer was: "We are experiencing technical difficulties with traffic service and expect to have it up and running in the next 3 months"
What gives?

I wish I got that answer. All the answers they gave me was that the feature doesn't exist in my car or in Canada period. Even though it shows it is available on their website for my vehicle. I just gave up on it all together.

I have a Canadian Genesis 3.8 Premium built May 12/14. XM traffic show up late August though I had not subscribed to XM traffic. Worked fine for a few weeks then disappeared

Called them again and after couple of minutes into the conversation I finally understood how unprofessional these guys are: all they know is to send a refresh radio signal to my car with the assurance that everything will get back to normal in about 20 minutes
I am really fed up with SiriusXm radio.

I had the traffic in my 2010 tech v6 for the first 3 month and it was crap. in 2010, it gave you traffic list regardless of which direction I was traveling. I don't care what is going on the eastbound if I'm driving west. you are not missing much.

Works for me in the 5.0. Never worked in my wifes santa fe.

Like ppl posted...it's kinda useless in canada. Dunno if US is better. But it just basically tells you there are slow downs on certian highways...which is obvious cause its usually just rush hour.
