  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have ~100 music folders on a usb thumb drive, copied over from my iTunes music files, and I can only see songs from three albums. Any ideas? Does it not recognize MP4? Thanks

I also have multiple folders of music on an external hard drive attached with USB and only one folder will show up and play. Also, the player defaults to this one album when the car is started regardless of which station was playing before. Help!

Re: phone address book download

I am very dissappointed that the phone system does not recognize the cell phone contact information from my blackberry. Any information on this? Also the CD player does not recognize the CD name in the 6 CD player or the name of the songs that are playing. Seems like such a simple feature that would have been programmed into the system?

Any type of upgrades available to fix this out there?

If your CD is not Audio Enhanced then it will not show artist or song title. I have only a handful of CD's that are... I wish every artist would make their CD's enhanced.

If you burn all your own CD's then you have to make sure that the settings are correct when burning.

I don't know for sure, but as far as I've heard, the answer is no. I have not tested this myself, though.

I believe the only compatible audio formats for the Lexicon system in the Genesis via USB or burned CD-R are mp3, wma, wav. Can anyone confirm/deny?

I do not believe any of the slightly more exotic formats, including mp4, ogg, mpa, aac, flac, ac3, vox, gsm, raw, m4a, mp2, mid, amr, aif, etc etc, are compatible. You may need to convert your audio files (do a google search for a free online option without any software download requirements) to a compatible format and try again.

Not sure about CD-R but for USB, it is only MP3 and WMA. You cannot play MP4 from a USB.

In case you have not heard, the iPod integration sucks - no shuffle feature!!
