  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can't listen to Spotify through my USB port...what am I doing wrong?

They won't update our 2015's with CarPlay.

I was not aware this was now definitive. I am not sure we have had a confirmed Hyundai source say that there was not upgrade path for early 2015 cars.

Auto mags have definitely gone both ways on it, and I've not seen any answers attributed to Hyundai corporate.

Not sure if they will respond but I just sent a message to Apple/Carplay to see if they know anything regarding an upgrade for the first cars released without Carplay functionality. If/when I get a response, I will post it here.

Question re: Jukebox/Radio

If you want to record a song from the radio, after pressing record, does the song go into some sort of "list" that you can keep adding songs to so you can build your own song list?

Thanks a lot for doing this! Keep us all posted please.

I don't know what you're talking about, man.

I posted this same response in the carplay posts but here is the response i received from hyundai

"While the 2015 Sonata will have Apple CarPlay available later this year there is no information right now for the 2015 Genesis. We encourage you to continue to visit our website at http://www.HyundaiUSA.com/shopping-t...l-updates.aspx, where you can sign-up to receive updates, news, and special offers via email. We also have a specially designed website for the Genesis at www.HyundaiGenesis.com.

While the 2015 Genesis does not have Carplay we have included Apple's Siri Eyes Free feature on some trim levels. This allows you to use features such as making phone calls, playing music, listening to or writing a text message, finding the destination by using the map, looking for calendar information, etc."

so it seems highly unlikely

This is a really old thread. Not sure if the OP will see, but if it's not an ultimate, CarPlay is available, and will work with Spotify, Pandora, Slacker, etc..

Will converting make a quality loss? I convert Spotify songs to MP3 with a Spotify song downloader, and I feel well.

Will converting make a quality loss
I dont believe converting will incur much of a quality loss as you're already using an "inferior" source. Dynamic range is not the best on Spotify/Pandora songs as is. For the people that dont hear a difference in sound over Bluetooth vs direct wire you're obviously using a low bitrate MP3. Listening to a high bitrate mp3 or flac song from a direct wire from your phone is incredible and way better than a bluetooth stream.

Or you can try to use Apple CarPlay or Bluetooth to try it again. And to use Spotify music on other devices, you need to get them as local files first via the Spotify Converter. Then you can move Spotify songs to the device you want for using.
