  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

At this site there is updated information about the ship from Brunswick Georgia to Baltimore that capsized in the port channel. Near the bottom of the article are photos of damaged cars in the enclosed decks.
The plan is for salvagers to cut the ship into pieces and remove it after/while cargo is removed. Months of work still to come.

The cargo ship that mysteriously capsized off the coast of Georgia in September with thousands of cars on board is still there and now leaking an 'unknown' amount of oil

I wonder what the conditions of some of the cars is and if any can be made roadworthy. A local scrapyard can do well with parts. Quite a project to disassemble them all.

Apparently no Hyundai cars aboard - but Kia may be missing some.
“ A Hyundai spokesperson told C/D that "There are no Hyundai branded vehicles on the ship" and referred us to the earlier Korea Herald news story that said many of the vehicles were Kias. We are continuing to seek out information on the vehicles as well as whether any of them can be saved.
