The first thing that’s heard when you start the engine in the Equus—Hyundai’s extra-large, extra-luxury version of the Genesis—is a Korean voice saying something on the stereo. I imagine it’s something motivational and soothing, like “please enjoy a most bountiful day of business and excellence and happy leisure,” but I have no idea since I don’t speak Korean. Sitting in the driver’s seat, the Equus feels, well, pretty much like a giant Genesis. The interior looks more like a Korean boardroom, though, with cherry wood paneling all over. The leather dash and chrome-look switches on our long-term Genesis look and feel better.
