  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car bad odor anybody else experience this

Read the post from July 19th. I added the cleaner thru the thermistor and so far the smell is gone.
I saw that, but if you were replying to my recent post, I was quoting salvageking who mentioned water that doesn't drain properly underneath the car. There may be two areas to address, both the thermistor to quickly get rid of the odor and the drain under the car. Clearing the drain under the car may prevent repeated application of cleaner through the thermistor next year or sometime in the future.

yeah a pic of where the access panel to the drain line would help

Think he and I mean where is the drain hose to clip?

How / what screws did you remove to do this?

Can you point me in the right direction?
Sure. So the pics from previous post is a little misleading. Once you free the glovebox (3 points ) back to the left you’ll see the white harness / connection which actually is the port top too. I did not un plug any of that since it’s all in one. Grasp that (it’s a tight fit for a man hand) twist lightly you’ll feel it start to loosen. Be prepared to pull out about 3” of sensor and note with your finger the hole. Insert cleaner hose no nosil ... call if you need more

Sure. So the pics from previous post are a little misleading. Once you free the glovebox (3 points ) back to the left you’ll see the white harness / connection which actually is the port top / cap too. I did not un plug any of that since it’s all in one. Grasp that (it’s a tight fit for a man hand) twist lightly you’ll feel it start to loosen. Be prepared to pull out about 3” of sensor rod and note with your finger the hole. Feed cleaner hose nozzle into hole (it will just fit) and you will have to keep pressure on it. Blast away. It made an immediate improvement ... call if you need more 619-997-7306

that's awesome - I appreciate the guidance! going to get the cleaner at home depot today.
Did you have to do anything with drain/clearing under the car?

No I saw a good size puddle under the car after application. Suggest you find/note the area under the car around the transmission area. Another hint that white connector in the photo is the cap - it doesn’t feel like a cap or lid but it is about a quarter size but very oddly shaped. Shouldn’t take you more than 20 mins to complete- good luck and enjoy- it is so much better. PS I tried to get the stuff at Home Depot but got no joy. Try NAPA.
