  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car hit while parked

Yep, they had a lot of mechanical issues. Front strut bushings, Lower Control Arms, Driveshatfs, etc. And GM didn't seem to want to take care of it. The G8 board i was a member of had a huge laundry list of issues.

Some were related to straping down the cars for the boat ride over. Which I think some Hyundais may have as well in reguards to the pulling issue that some seem to have.

But so far, I'm enjoying my R Spec more so than the G8. Funny thing is, the G8 was bigger on the out side but the Genny is bigger inside as well as the trunk. and the 5.0 makes for a fun family car. ;)

...Um yep. So yeah. I am still Genesis-less; it's still in the shop and from what I understand the final price will end up around 12-15k. I owe 19, and it still has yet to go to the dealer and have the electronics assessed.

DAMN! That was a serious hit then. Was there any frame damage? Did you at least get any info on who hit you?

Good luck.

Well folks, here is the update. 10k for parts and body, 1200 for the rental car (out of pocket), 3000 for a "REFURBISHED" head unit, and my insurance deductible. Learn from my lesson. Have 2 operational vehicles, or add rental car and under insured motorist to your policy. I'll be doing just that.

The way I see it is I don't have insurance for me. I have insurance for every one else. And really something as small as rental car reimbursement barely even affects your premium. I'm sorry that you had to learn this very expensive lesson, though.

I woke to find some @ss-H@t had hit my car. the first estimates are starting at 8k+. the driver ran into my rear drivers wheel and bent the suspension - even the shock - prob full replacement on the rear suspension if the sub frame isn't bent. Shocks, rims, tires, sway bar and maybe rotors.....

looks like it time for some aftermarket goodies, any suggestions?

I am looking for rim style suggestions - I want to move them out so 18-25 offset? BTW I'm lowered 1.5"

anyone know of performance suspension components?

THX

Bilstein Adjustable height is your best choice bradyb, after your ARK springs review and finally I choose bilstein, without more language to express how deep I love it, even better ride and control than my Mercedes-Benz E class without air suspension.
