  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car not Recognizing Phone for Android Auto

I started having issues with front USB connector after about 4 months. Randomly it won’t work. No CarPlay and no charge on any phone and with any wire. Then when I try again about 8 hrs later it will work again.
Restarting car after a 5-10 minute doesn’t restore functionality. Seems like a software issue to me.

You say does not work on any phone Same or different cable?

It sounds like making a good electrical contact is an issue here.
Try to clean both the cable and the port with dry electronic cleaner at the port side and alcohol at the cable side.

Have the same phone as you. make sure to use a good cable (Anker), Also check in the menus of the infotainment that Android Auto is enabled.
When you plug the phone for the first time, it will open android Auto on the phone and ask a few questions.

Also, check your software version on the car, Genesis had a big software update in November
