  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car pulling left at high speeds

'they' is a Genesis dealership... I'm done with Firestone. Car was carfax clean and now has 57k miles and have extended warranty but they are saying struts are not covered.

Told me it's "wear and tear" and must have hit a pothole or something

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
You bought it used. Is the Carfax clean? It's possible the vehicle has been in an accident and the frame got out of spec.
I was told by a dealer once that certain states don't even report to CarFax - Arkansas & Missouri were the ones he mentioned. I drove a 5.0 from one of the "Big Box" dealers that claimed to deal in only in lease returns (Echo Park - Similar to CARMAX) here in Houston, that supposedly had a "clean" report with low miles & a great price. Long story short, I drove the car and then while I was checking it over afterwards, I noticed overspray on the exhaust tips. Then opened the trunk and saw overspray on the rubber as well - it was pretty hard to miss, as the car was white!

I pointed it out and they kept saying "But it has a clean Carfax..!" Needless to say, I left immediately.

Could have a bent control arm or something, it happens. Should have been seen when the alignment was done.

100% true, they train their advisors to rip you off. was told I needed a brake fluid flush once on my old car, that had just had the fluid flushed less than a week before at the dealer. When I asked if they could show me why I need new brake fluid, they told me I’m not allowed back there.

Haven’t been to a firestone since!
Truth. Go somewhere else for a second opinion.

they are saying need to replace both front struts...to start...see if that fixes problem

Like Garnet said above, I call BS. Your car was riding straight on old tires. New tires, multiple alignments, etc. and it's still off? :poop: I wouldn't go anywhere near that place again.

I've never been too trusting of the name brand tire shops unless I know the guy and have been fortunate to have several local used tire shops that are fabulous to work with (buy/bring them tires, they mount/balance, in-out in 20, perfect and cheap); like having my very own pit crew lol.

Since the latest diagnosis is coming from Genesis it may very well be suspension-related, but just find the timing odd of this coinciding with your tire change. I'd probably get one more independent opinion before going down that road.
