I've been going to local car shows over the past several weeks and the G70 certainly attracts attention, even among so many other awesome cars. I hang out with a couple M4/M6 guys, so ya.. really nice cars among hundreds of others of various ages and types. Our local Genesis dealer brought out a 2020 MB G70 and SI G80 last night, so we parked the 3 cars in "Genesis" row. The cars go a lot of attention and watching all of the quizzical looks from people was pretty funny. Like "what the heck are these??" I fielded a fair amount of questions and even though we know the cars well, generally speaking people have no idea. When I would inform them, most were genuinely surprised by what I told them and seemed to be looking for a "what's the catch" moment.
I got to hang out with my GXM and the service manager for a couple hours, so I asked lots of questions. One thing I learned was the when under full acceleration, the ECU turns off all non essential things like AC in favor of max power. That's interesting because I have made several comments about the AC having no effect on the power (in the 3.3T anyways).
Of special note for @Toddasaurus. I kept track of the ratio of people visiting my SS G70 vs. the MB G70 and SI G80.. Probably a 3 or 4:1 ratio.. Sorry to all of the rest of you that chose the wrong color.... @Beefer
