  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Car wash problem

Its not the car mfg. fault. It is the liability of the car wash owner and car wash equipment manufacturer.

Your post of rear suspension damage done by auto car washes was right on, thanks.

It seems to me that this issue I'm having with car washes is a design flaw with the car. Not sure if it is all vehicles or just AWD models. I expect that others have had this issue and I'm curious what Hyundai has had to say about it.[/QUOTE]

Sounds more like a defective car wash.

Hey all...sorry for not updating you. Hyundai did replace all of the control arm parts under warranty and the dealer had the car for two days. They were kind enough to provide a Subaru Forester loaner while they had it. I don't have anything in writing acknowledging that there is a design flaw but there absolutely is.

Automatic car washes are fine. You'd save more time just by redoing the clear coat annually. Why spend an hour every week to wash and dry by hand

luckly by me we have car washes that don't use "tracks" and you can just drive up and the power water cleans and dries the vehicle. it definitely does the trick but a good detail by had a few times a year is great to.
