  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I picked up my GV80, the salesman stated there are microphones (used for noise measurement) in proximity to the four tires that are part of the noise reduction system inside the vehicle. Therefore, he would not run the risk of running it thru the car wash and damaging the microphones. Additionally he mentioned concerns about putting it in neutral to run thru the car wash. Has anyone experienced any kind of troubles running it thru the car wash or heard of similar car wash concerns?

If the microphones can't make it through a car wash, how would you be able to drive the car in the rain?
My 2018 G80 (ultimate - electronic shifter) does just fine in neutral being pulled through a car wash.

I don't know this men but he is not very smart.

It is sad that your salesman could not say he knew nothing about the vehicle. Rather than be truthful he invented some fantastical things to make you fearful. He should find another line of work.
