  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

anyone take their Genesis through an automatic car wash in an emergency? Like after driving in rain but need to look good in a short time?

I'm planning on ceramic coating and frontend PPF, $2000ish Ugh. Got 150 miles on it and already have a small rock ding on the front:mad:

I’d try to avoid the auto wash so that you limit the amount of paint correction needed before the ceramic coat goes on.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I use the 'Laser' type, non contact washes all the time and towel dry. Just the basic wash with no additional waxes or coatings.

I really only do automated car washes when we are on vacation, for long enough and far away from home. Better that than staying gunked up, especially if it's in the snow with sand & salt. You do what you gotta do.

At the end of the day, it's just a vehicle that comes and goes... not your first born.

if you gotta do it, which is the case sometimes (like to underbody rinse off sand/salt in the winter), go touchless. not the end of the world.
