Car Wax

Can any one tell me what is the best Car Wax for my Gen.

If you want a wax that last the longest time, use a synthetic polymer wax without any Carnauba. There are many synthetic polymer waxes on the market that you can buy at any discount store like Walmart. Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax is the one I use.

Everybody will have their favorite. I've used Zymol for years.
I'll toss in a couple suggestions I picked up years ago as well.
When washing or waxing, move only on a straight line from front to rear. The reason is, no matter how you try not to, you will get micro scratching in the finish. If you wash in a circular pattern, no matter how the light hits your car, it will catch that micro scratching & show. If you go in one direction front to rear, it will only show if the light hit it just right. I had a black Mazda Millenia S ( and black really shows scratching ), and did this from the day I bought the car new, and it looked great when I traded it 8 years later.

Also, be sure & put a little sacrifical wax on your wheels. Microscopic bits of hot brake dust get sprayed on your wheels. Over time, it will degrade that fine new look. Let a coat of wax take the beating.

People who own black cars and care about swirls, etc, usually end up in a mental institution in a couple of years.

On my white Genesis and Silver E500 I use NU-Finish which is top rated by consumer reports. I have used it for over 20 years and found nothing better. On my black E63 I use the Black Box KIt by turtle wax and black spray wax and detailer.

Nu Finish is good but tough to remove and leaves the white residue on any plastic trim. I used Liquid Glass after clay bar and it goes on and off very easily.

From what I have read, you are correct. Most of the synthetic polymers are about the same in terms of protection, but the more expensive ones tend to be easier to use, especially when removing residue from plastic parts.
