  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,

Last night I was driving my car no problem and this morning it won’t start and I have no clue. When I attempt to start it, all the electronics turn on as normal but the car doesn’t attempt to turn over at all or click as if the battery was dead. I believe it could be the starter but not sure as I never experienced this problem before.

The car is a 2015 Hyundai genesis sedan with about 98k miles. The battery was changed last year. The brake lights also turn on when stepped on.

Probably a starter.

There is a box on one of the battery terminals. Someone had a similar problem and it was a poor connection in the box. Don't know the details but worth a peek.

Good afternoon, do you have a link to that?

After a few days I tried starting it and it started right up.. which is weird but the auto shop said the battery was bad which I brought to advance auto an they exchanged it for a new one.

When this happens, press start button to ON then shift down to D and back up to P while having your foot on brake. Then press Start button again, it will start right up. It's either the neutral safety switch or starter I've heard.
