  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When i plug my phone in to use carplay it just says “Phone not responding”. I have tried multiple phone, multiple cables, and resetting my phone and it still doesn’t work. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix for it?

Have you tried resetting your infotainment system? Once it’s powered up use a toothpick to press and hold the reset button. It a small hole next to the volume button.

I have a similar problem. Apple CarPlay at times won't come up, sometimes it comes up but the music won't play, sometimes the music has static. The dealer has replaced the head unit and entire wiring harness on two occasions and I still have the same problems!! I think it may also be an "Apple issue." I am hoping when Apple comes out with their next software update, it will take care of this problem.

Yup - Pretty much. Sometimes I have to plug it in multiple times. Sometimes the music just wont play. Sometimes when changing the Apple Carplay screen back to on-board Navigation, the whole display goes black. Sometimes when I change Drive modes to Sport the audio goes mega static mode. Thank you for responding MotownMJ. It helps to know that I am not the only one having these problems. I hope otherwise you are enjoying your ride (-:

Did you have any luck getting it resolved. I'm a recent buyer of a 2021 G70 and I'm having the same issues you outlined. Haven't taken it in yet, figured I'd check here first.

My 2022 G70 CarPlay will stop working in the middle of a road trip around the 2 hour mark. I’ve tried a million different cords and unplugging/plugging it back in to no avail. When it stops on road trips it’s not coming back on. And sometimes it won’t work whenI first start my car. When this happens I can get it to work by turning my car off and letting it sit for a minute and restarting. Then it will work again. I’m under full warranty so I had the dealership look at it. They wouldn’t replace anything this time around without seeing it happen. Eye roll.

Me as well and mine is 2021 G70. Had the same problem with my 2017 G80.

I have an issue with 2023 GV80 - Apple car just stopped working out of the blue, getting the message below, tried a million cables and different model iPhones. any can help would be very appreciative.

"please connect a phone that supports android auto or apple carplay using an approved usb cable"

Hey. I was having same issue and tried 5 usb wires. I have figured out that as a minimum the usb cord should be a 3.0 since the vehicle has a blue inner portion ( usb 3). I ordered 2 different Android Auto cables from Amazon, one has arrived and I plugged it in -> smooth as silk. Worked right away. I didn't use it for long as I had just got home. I think that is the trick.
