  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My cd player does not show track name lists for any newer CD music albums during playback. It only shows lists for older CD up to year 2004. Are there updates or downloads to correct this? My 2015 Genesis has the 17 speaker/navigation. The majority of newer cars does not have this problem. Car is to good; should not have a problem with this nice sounding system. Is there an answer? My wife's car is cheaper and I really miss knowing what is playing during my CD playback. She is laughing at me; her car is a 2012 ES.

Laugh at her. Convert your CDs to mp3s and put them on a USB stick. Nobody uses CDs anymore; except your wife.

Some people find MP3s torturous to listen to

Don't listen to your wife. Convert to 320 kbps mp3 files and I doubt you'll find them torturous. What you will instead find is thousands of tunes on a tiny thumbdrive.

meh, even at 320kbps, you have still already thrown away 70% of the info, and still torturous to me. It sounds like someone is throwing scrap metal on glass in the background. I don't know if Hyjndai supports it (good god, I would hope they do....even APPLE does now)but FLAC would be the way to go if one eschews redbooks/K2/etc imo

I own about 4k redbooks (including hdcd/K2/24bt/etc), so maybe I'm biased. I like physical media. For some people though MP3s are the answer, and a very good one, 20k songs on something the size of a stamp is very convenient. Ideally i would liked to have seen a single or double din in that dash so I could throw in an xr-c900es, but those days....snifff...are long gone.

Good luck. I'm sure somebunny here speaks your language.

While I agree with you about FLAC, if you convert a FLAC file to a 320kbps at a 44100hz sample rate, you won't be throwing away 70% of the musical information, and I'll bet you'd have a hard time on a side by side comparison as to which was which.

This begs the question (and we are now WAY outside of OPs question), why in whomevers gods name would you convert a flac file to mp3. (edit) Legit question. Srsly.

Simple answer. To be able to play it on a thumbdrive in your Genesis.
