  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I did a quick search on this topic but couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Has anyone installed an aftermarket, ceiling mounted, flip down DVD player in their Genesis sedan.
My kids love my new car but were very disappointed there was no DVD entertainment system.
Thanks in advance.

Somewhere else there was a post here about a portable DVD mount that clips to the seatback. That would be a less permanent and considerably less expensive solution than drilling holes in the roof. If you do a search on Amazon they have 2 different models, both adjustable that clip to the headrest posts and are less than $40. This allows them to be transferred from car to car and when you go to sell the car you don't have to have that contraption hanging from the ceiling creating a problem in selling the car.

Yes, I did see that post, thanks.
I'm looking for something a little more perminent and professional looking though.

Update.
I successfully installed an overhead DVD player in my Genesis last weekend.
I’ll get some photos and a step by step linked up here soon in case anyone else wants to do this.
It took me 4 hours total and I’m pretty happy with it overall.

Were you able to mount it without interfering with the sunroof mechanism?
