Center armrest too hard

Anyone else think the center arm rest is too hard? Especially compared to the door arm rest, it has barely any padding. On a long road trip I had to use a sweatshirt under my elbow.
Has anyone tried adding padding under the leather or replacing the arm rest all together? Let me know your thoughts.

I put a small Purple pillow sampler under my elbow for linger trips.

Yes it is a two piece door. Not sure where you’re going with this.

Was just thinking it might be a bit awkward being off set to one side or the other,frankly I’ve had my Ultimate for 3 years now and even being 74 never found the center console uncomfortable to rest my arm on.

An auto upholstery/restoration shop can fix that problem for a few dinero. Get an estimate.

it’s not with the item I posted. two pieces and they strap around the door and access isn’t an issue.

Went with this pad from Amazon. The elastic straps fit around the drivers side armrest door and I can still access the compartment. The pad doesn’t stand out too bad and feels great on the elbow.
It’ll be a life saver for the 11 hour drive home tomorrow. Thanks for your input everyone.

Yes, I agree that the armrest is not very comfortable. The arm rest are supportive, but not very comfortable. I have considered asking a leather upholstery shop to upgrade the arm rest padding and touch up the leather skin as well as my front driver seat leather.

I too just ordered one ,kinda wish it came in a lighter color but at least it won’t show dirt easily. And should protect the leather cover on the console doors.
