  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) dealership offerings

What questions do you have?
I am interested to know based on others experiences their critique of the dealership, so that I can determine if I will explore buying a CPO from them sometime in the near future. For instance if you use/used them for basic maintenance service or other service, or bought a CPO or new car my questions might differ.

I bought a 2015 CPO V8 ultimate off them. The finance officer was great and the salesman was also good. I love the car. But I flew out there from South Dakota to buy it. When I got home 600 miles I took it to the dealer had to have a four wheel alignment and all the tires balanced. And the day after I got home I found dirt in the clear coat of the bumper. They really didn't care about any of that I guess because I was 600 miles away from them. So I put a claim in with Hyundai for the front bumper and how to re clear no charge to me. The car was not an accident or anything of that nature I guess someone did a crappy respray. Otherwise I'd say they're okay to deal with. I love the car and it's been good to me at 4,000 miles I put it. The salesman did tell me however that the navigation an entertainment center was upgraded but it was not.

I appreciate what you shared. I am surprised that there was the issue with the bumper and nothing in the Carfax report to alert you to the possibility. I suppose it is important to personally inspect the car in good light and in regards to the upgrade, trust, but verify any assertions that the dealer makes. Did the car being a CPO being a CPO factor into making it easier to file the claim with Hyundai?

Yes IT did, CPO in my opinion is the way to go. The bumper thing got me angry. I really looked over the car. They pput it on the lift for me, and were friendly folks. But they did not wash the car until 10 before I left. Buying cars from a dealer is something I dont ever do. So I was definitely out of my league when it comes to rating them with other dealers. I did look car over very well and just missed it. It was a very small spot ,you had to really look. But I guess I would go back there if they had what I wanted.

They have a guy there at Patrick Hyundai, all he does is search for these Genesis Ultimates with low miles . They were the only ones who had what I wanted in a CPO. LOVE THE CAR!!!!!

Did not someone had a problem with them a few months back? it was a lemon and they bought it back, iirc?

Btw. check out the Napleton's in Napreville/Aurora. We bought 6-7 Hyundai/Genesis cars from them.

Interesting, darecki. Glad to hear their (Napleton's) dealership up there has treated you well, as compared to the one down here in Florida where I purchased mine (Palm Beach).

Ed Napleton resides up in IL, so he probably takes better care of people closer to home lol; I've found he has many dealerships across multiple States.

Per my experience (I purchased at a distance similar to Kraig) and a recent discussion out here with another Genny owner down in that area, they clearly have a culture of liars and shady business practices. My lawyer is reviewing and I may yet pursue them for fraud and misrepresentation. Consider this a PSA for the two locations in the Palm Beaches (FL).
