  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello forum. I was looking to purchase a 2019 Genesis G80 AWD V6 ULTIMATE today. I was ready to make a deal and possibly drive out of the dealership a happy camper, at least until the salesman (who was very professional) came with the final numbers which contain approximately 7,000 in dealership fees. He claimed it was the prep and fees associated with getting the vehicle Certified Pre-owned. Don't know about anyone else but 7k in dealership fees sounds crazy. Anyone else experience this?

Yes, its nuts and I did not know they are doing this on used cars as well. I hope it comes back to bite them in the ass someday.

Will they sell it to you without those fees without it being certified? Would you be okay with just having the remaining factory warranty period?
